Where to look for a job

If you are currently looking for work then there are a number of ways of doing so. Below I have listed a few ways in which you can get your CV out there and land that job you have always wanted:

  • CV dropping – This is typically how many people used to look for work. You print off a number of copies of your CV and distribute it round to as many companies as possible that you wish to work for. If there are no current vacancies suitable your CV will often be kept on file until something comes up.
  • Online jobs boards – Searching online for a job is the most popular way people look for employment. Registering with a number of jobs boards will allow you to upload your CV for recruitment agencies and potential employers to search through. If they believe you are suitable for a position they have, they will contact you.
  • Recruitment agency – Different to a jobs board, with a recruitment agency you register with them (which is usually free of charge) and they do the searching for you.
